MODO
MODO / AT YOUR PACE

Your ideas.
A clear way forward.

The same journey, ready to read. What MODO helps you make, how the pieces fit, and where the beta still needs care.

Start with a real project.

MODO is a local visual design workspace for websites and native app projects. Create a project, add a page or Playground, and work directly on the canvas. The current beta is free to use; it is not a lifetime pricing promise.

A layout that holds together.

Arrange layers with spacing, alignment and sizing rules. Define responsive breakpoints and inspect how your layout adapts. Build for different sizes without treating every screen as a separate design.

Change the system. Keep the character.

Build reusable components and connected instances. Keep the shared design consistent while customizing instance content. Named color tokens connect your visual decisions to a reusable design system.

Give your ideas something to say.

Use local CMS collections, structured content and media. Add vector shapes, edit paths and refine motion and interactions. Review output for your target: web and native capabilities are not identical.

Your work stays within reach.

Save local projects and portable .modo copies. After the first online activation, local design and saving work offline. Remote services, new font downloads, publishing and AI still need their connections. Keep backups during the beta.

Make it. Take it places.

Export HTML/CSS to a local folder or ZIP. Native source exports use SwiftUI for iOS and Jetpack Compose for Android; building requires the relevant platform toolchain. Provider publishing and store workflows are experimental integrations with account setup and validation. Preparing store materials is not automatic store approval or submission.

Your AI, when you want it.

Connect a compatible AI agent through MCP with the permissions you allow. It can assist with the same project; review changes and undo when needed. AI is optional and your provider’s own charges still apply.

Bring people into the picture.

Shared reviews and live editing need a separately configured team service and a connection. The shared canvas is a separate authoritative copy, not continuous synchronization of a local project. Download a .modo copy to return to local work.
